Senior Scholarship Update – November 2008

Toyota has scholarships for $10,000 - $20,000 for students with a 3.0 that are actively involved in a service organization or project.  See Mrs. Jarema for an application; completed applications are due back to her by 11/21/08.

NALS of Michigan has a $1000 scholarship for students going in to the legal field that have at least a B average and have financial need.  See Mrs. Jarema for an application; completed applications must be postmarked no later than 1/15/09.

A Reminder to Hunters …

As the leaves fall to the ground excitement seems to grow in the hearts of many high school aged girls and boys. It does not seem to be the shortened days, the onset of cold nights, but rather the start of the firearm season.

Central Michigan University has the Centralis Scholarship competition on 11/1/08 for students with a 3.5 GPA or higher; to register call 1-888-292-5366.  Central has several other scholarships available; go to www.cmich.edu/payingforcentral.

Inland Lakes High School faculty continually reminds students that hard work pays dividends and that student’s academic and extracurricular records are an investment in their future. The letter Kyle Ortiz received recently from University of Detroit Mercy said very little about dividends or investment the letters opening line: Congratulations!

4 credits Math:  Math 1, Math 2, Math 3
Senior Year Options:  Trigonometry, Math 111 (Baker College), Consumer Economics or
                                                  Calculus  

No More Submitting Credit Card Charges Online for Food Service!

As of October 1, 2008 the system Meal Magic had in place for accepting credit card charges for parents
to put money on student accounts will no longer work. This will be a permanent situation.  Parents should still be able to view student accounts online.

Back To School Details!!!

School starts Tuesday, September 2nd!!!!

There are a few changes this year, so be sure to note:

Start Times
Middle School & High School classes START at 8:15AM
Elementary School classes START at 8:00AM (note the time change)

Busses begin loading at the Elementary at 2:55PM, and behind the MS/HS at 3:00PM.

Lunch Prices

Student lunch prices this year will be $2.00 for all buildings. Breakfast will cost $1.00, and milk will be $0.40. (prices will be the same for all buildings)
